The Audit Committee is comprised of volunteers who are appointed by the Board of Directors to represent Arizona Federal's members. The committee is responsible for ensuring that members' funds and interests are protected at all times. To accomplish this goal, the Audit Committee performs several specific duties, including:

  • Overseeing an annual independent audit of the credit union
  • Verifying members' accounts
  • Reviewing internal accounting systems and controls
  • Ensuring that all policies and procedural guidelines are followed

The Audit Committee works closely with our Compliance and Review Services department, confirming the reliability of controls in place and the consistency of the credit union's protection processes. Along with participating in monthly board meetings and planning sessions, the Audit Committee continues to serve members on an individual basis.
